Description

Titled “Recipes for Cooking” by the author, this 10-page cookbook is written in a rough paper-bound booklet measuring 6 1/2 by 4 inches. Pages 1 through 7 contain the following culinary recipes: batter cakes, apple pudding, to make vinegar from beets, brandy peaches, blackberry wine, brine for beef, sweet pickle peaches, tea cup cakes, and jelly. Miscellaneous household and medical recipes appear on pages 8 through 10: to clean windows, to join glass, to clean gloves, to ease a burn, [?]ing cough, and dye red.
