This recipe book contains ninety-four culinary recipes as well as some remedies. All but the final four leaves are written in a handsome calligraphic hand. The recipes focus on desserts and tea cakes, including blancmange, calves' feet jelly, rusks, and puffert (similar to modern coffee cake) but also include some meat dishes, drinks, and pickles. The book outlines remedies for indigestion, cholera morbis, the summer complaint in children, and three other conditions.
